"Welcome to Stumble Inn, Elmina, Ghana. At the moment we're the Central Region's best kept secret, but that's all about to change! Stumble Inn is a travellers rest in an idyllic beach front location - somewhere you can get away from it all and just be. It's a place you can visit for a few days, a base from which you can explore the best of what the Central Region has to offer, or if you're here as part of our ethical volunteer programme it will become your home from home - one with a beach, palm trees and even a whalebone!"

From the oldest castle and slave fort in Western Africa, to beautiful beaches, and a nature reserve offering the only rainforest canopy walkway in Africa, Elmina, and the Central Region, has something to interest everyone. From culture, to nature, to relaxation - it's all here, right on our doorstep.

With accommodation ranging from comfortable double rondavels, to bunk bed dormitories and a dedicated camping area, whatever you're looking for, you'll find it at Stumble Inn.

From ecological self composting toilets to fuel efficient ovens, we strive to minimise the environmental impact of the lodge, and show you a greener side of Ghanaian life.

If you feel you want to do more than just sightseeing and sunbathing, why not consider volunteering? Get in touch with sabretrust.org to find out more information about this grassroots education charity which has a number of exciting projects you can get involved with in the local area.
